When I visited my sister in Cologne, we went to the riverside and found a 1950s market with lots of vintage finds - and also a stall with vintage inspired pinup dresses.

I liked most of those on offer, but fell for this rather simple blue dress, because it doesn’t look like a costume. Instead, it can be worn every day: Either just like this, or even further dressed down with a shirt underneath and / or a cardigan on top.

For those pictures, A. and I went into the city forest and he got to shoot in manual mode with the DSLR. Usually, I don’t have that patience, since it requires standing still and letting him find the perfect angle, which isn’t easy in the lights and shadows of the forest. But, I love the results :)

Als ich das letzte Mal bei meiner Schwester in Köln war, besuchten wir das Rheinau-Hafengebiet, weil ich dort noch nie war. Zeitgleich fand auf dem Gelände ein 1950er Markt mit Oldtimern und Verkaufsständen statt. Neben vielen echten Vintage-Ständen, gab es auch einen Stand mit Pinup-inspirierten neuen Kleidern, wo ich dieses schlichte, blaue Kleid fand. Ich mochte es gerade deswegen so gerne, weil man nicht unbedingt ‚verkleidet‘ aussieht; und das Kleid damit durchaus alltagstauglich ist.

Für diese Fotos gingen A. und ich in den Frankfurter Stadtwald und er durfte mit der Spiegelreflexkamera manuell fotografieren. Normalerweise habe ich dazu nicht die Geduld, weil es ziemlich viel still stehen erfordert, bis man gerade im Licht & Schatten des Waldes das richtige Motiv erwischt - aber ich mag das Resultat in diesem Fall sehr :)
