The ugly parasol / Der häßliche Sonnenschirm

A small addition to our garden terrace: We proudly thrifted an original early 1990s parasol. It smells a bit as if it was for a long time in storage, but otherwise doesn’t look used at all.

Back in the days, people used to have those patterned parasols, usually in combination with the same cushions and tablecloths fabrics - and nowadays you can hardly ever find any patterned parasol at all.

Eine kleine Ergänzung zu unserer Sommerterrasse: Wir fanden einen original 1990er Jahre Sonnenschirm im Second Hand Laden (für 7€).

Er riecht ein wenig als wenn er für längere Zeit irgendwo gelagert wurde, sieht ansonsten aber nahezu unbenutzt aus.

Damals hatten die Leute nicht nur diese gemusterten Sonnenschirme, sondern meist das passende Set mit Stuhlauflagen und Tischdecken dazu - und heutzutage gibt es dagegen fast nur noch einfarbige Sonnenschirme.
