Tulips / Tulpen

Always at the beginning of February, I start buying tulips to celebrate the end of the dark months. 

And I usually keep the flowers a while longer in the vases as it would be appropriate, because I even like the way the tulips eventually bend and fully open up, although some people already consider them as ‘compost’ ^^ 

But once the tulips start blooming outside, I stop buying them for the home. Even the most basic red tulip looks so beautiful with the sunlight streaming through its petals that my indoor flower (tea) pot can simply not compete :)

Jedes Jahr kaufe ich ab Februar regelmäßig Tulpen, um - mit diesen Frühlingsboten im Haus - das Ende der dunkelsten Monate zu feiern. 
Und ich lasse die Blumen immer etwas länger in ihren Vasen, während sie andere Leute bereits als ‚Kompost‘ klassifizieren. Ich mag es aber sehr, wenn die Blüte zum Ende völlig aufblüht und etwas weniger ‚ordentlich‘ aussieht :) 

Aber sobald die ersten Tulpen im Garten blühen, kaufe ich keine Blumen mehr fürs Haus, denn selbst die einfachste rote Tulpe sieht draußen so viel schöner aus, wenn das Sonnenlicht durch die Blütenblätter scheint. Da können meine Teekannen-Tulpen nicht mithalten und das ist wohl auch in Ordnung so :)
