Early autumn in the woods / Herbst im Wald

Recently my husband and I wanted to make ‘couple photos’ in the woods and therefore we chose our matching flannel shirts and hoped for a lot of colorful leaves. Unfortunately most leaves were still green - but it was a nice and sunny day, so we didn’t mind it too much.

Vor kurzem wollten mein Mann und ich einige ‘Paarbilder’ von uns fotografieren und trugen deswegen passende Flanell Hemden zum Besuch im Stadtwald. Wir hofften sehr auf bunte Herbstblätter, doch im Wald war fast alles noch grün. Aber es war ein warmer, sonniger Tag - also dennoch wunderschön. 

Most couples that I know of always seem to strike a rather effortless pose - something we never managed to do. Even on this day, a lot of our pictures were rather awkward than flawless, but at least we did have fun making them (while dealing with some rather inquisitive kids ^^)
And maybe when we repeat this experience from time to time, we are going to get better at it eventually :)

Die meisten Paare, die ich kenne, scheinen fast automatisch zu wissen, wie perfekte Paarbilder entstehen - das haben wir so nie hinbekommen. Selbst an diesem Tag, waren unsere Bilder häufig ungeschickt und ungelenk, aber wir hatten durchaus unseren Spaß (natürlich auch mit den Kindern, die vorbeikamen um sich ganz genau anzusehen, was wir da machen ^^) Wenn wir solche Fotos von Zeit zu Zeit wiederholen, wird es vielleicht irgendwann einfacher :) 

After that we went - for the first time - to the restaurant right in the middle of the woods. I always thought of it as some sort of expensive tourist trap, and although I was right about the expensive part, the food was really good. The place might not become our regular go -to place, but for once in a while, it might be the perfect treat.

Danach gingen wir zum ersten Mal in das Restaurant mitten im Wald. Bisher hatte ich es immer nur als wahrscheinlich zu teure Touristenfalle abgetan - und ich hatte recht mit dem ‚ zu teuer‘, aber das Essen war großartig. Das wird jetzt sicher nicht unser Stammlokal, aber hin - und wieder kann man sich das bestimmt einmal gönnen.
